Business Associate Position

Salaried  Part-Time

The Business Associate will work collaboratively with the Producing Artistic Director and the Board of Trustees to create and administer budgets, union contracts, marketing plans. S/He will work with bookkeeper and accountant on tax reports and financial statements. S/he will oversee memberships, reservations, group sales, and single ticket sales. S/He will work with the Board of Trustees to create and participate in fundraisers and fundraising campaigns; develop contributors; help represent the theater and its mission at meetings of community organizations such as the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary; and attend selected professional development conferences, seminars, and webinars presented by TCG, AATE, TYA USA, etc. S/He will recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to assist with administrative activities named above, attend occasional rehearsals, performances and post show discussions.

It is expected that the job will require a range of 10-15 hours per week, and possibly more, depending on the time of year. Salary $225 per week.

Qualifications: Prefer Associate’s or higher degree in liberal arts, arts administration, or business. Previous experience in administrative not-for-profit or related work a plus. An appreciation of theater arts and the ability to write and speak enthusiastically about The Open Eye Theater’s mission and programming. Collaborative and leadership skills; computer skills. Other IT skills, a plus.
